Opencart 2.2.0.0 (I will upgrade to new version)

getting error from the categories:

Unknown: Argument 2 passed to Mfilter_Plus::getInstance() must be of the type array, null given, called in /home/********e/public_html/********/system/library/mfilter_core.php on line 2149 and defined in /home/********/public_html/********/system/library/mfilter_plus.php on line 288

Unfortunately, we are unable to contact the person who created the site. The site has not been updated for more than 5 years, although it works. Now I am trying to fix the situation by keeping the existing database.
Which extension is it about? Maybe I can look for the specific mistake in it.

In that case, either check that extension by yourself, or contact one of the developers here (there is basically only 5,6 which may be able to help you).
Either contact one of them directly (see their signature for example and their postings here) you may trust, or post a new request in the commercial section of this forum.

It's probably the Mega Filter Plus extension which you can find here: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=37770
If so, try to contact its author, it still appears to be actively supported.
