It would be great if we could list a product and it will show in stock if it's options are in stock. Once the options run out of their given stock then the product it's self will show out of stock.

Pretty much control if it says in stock or out of stock depending on the options.

I'm trying to alter the coding myself to get the desired result but it is being kind of a pain.
I've built a few stores and i've needed this a few times.

Hmmm, maybe it's me, but I thought that given the following:
Product with 3 options
Red: qty 5
Blue: qty 4
Green: qty 3

Main product therefore has a quantity of 5 + 4 + 3 = 12

Everything set to subtract stock, then once all products sold it will be out of stock.
