installing picture issue

I have already installed a dozen pictures for my products but now the button that you hit to upload pictures has disappeared. Any idea what happened?

I am not sure why you say its vague, dont really know how else to put it except one minute the button is there to upload pictures and then its not there? Anyone else?

OC version? Errors? Errors in logs? Extensions installed?
If you clear/refresh the caches do the button return?
