Good morning all, is there any mobile app for Android or iOS, to manage Opencart forums? A lot of time ago, it was possible to use Tapatalk but it seems not possible now .
Personally I think it is very useful to follow and particpate to a forum on a smartphone with a mobile app. What do you think about?

Well, according to Searches made, this Tapatalk seems to be a rather
dangerous Tool, and 'later' Downloads don't even seem to work as planned,
in adition to the fact, that it's not a really 'free' App either ...

Dear Ernie, to be really honest with you, I cant understand German. Anyway I've been using this app for years and it is really useful IMHO. Anyway maybe there are other apps over there, what I can't understand it is why not to have a mobile app support.

I just figured, to let you know. And google speaks several Languages, as I found out: ;)

But I honestly can't see, how OC Admin could really be handled by a Smartphone,
possibly parts of it, but broad listings and so are a pain in the neck, to read them ...
Some Extensions exist for some Versions, to at least make certain Admin Sections usable by such Phones.

Ernie, ok, I just read translated text and I still remain in my position. First of all, we are talking about a mobile app to better partecipate to Opencart Forum communities. I really thing it is very useful and I'm sure many other users can think like me.
Regarding data protection, to be really honest with you, each one can decide if to use the app or not. There are no problems for the forum itself, it is just a connector/module to be added in phpBB.
Do you have any idea who is in charge to take such decision (enable or not phpBB module for TAPATALK)? Should I ask to Daniel?!?

Thank you for your time,

M

I just use a web browser on a mobile device. This obsession of having an app for everything is like trying the re-invent the wheel. Best ask OpenCart Ltd or Daniel whether he'd agree to add this plugin the phpBB forum software.

I appreciate your feedback but I don't think it is an obsession in this case. A dedicated app, in this scenario, avoid you to select the forum url, log in the system, then browse the forum discussions without particular aids. With the app, you have immediate access to the forum, and you also have some immediate possibility to check last posts overall, or answers to your posts, etc. Very very useful, maybe you can try to experience if it is useful or need.
