OC v 3.0.6.0

In Settings -->Checkout, I have the "Invoice Prefix" set to: INV-1000.
My first PayPal sandbox test order came through as "Order ID 5".
How can I change this to start at a larger number than 5? I thought it should start at INV-1000 as I've indicated in settings?

The inventory number is different than the order #. In order to change the order number you need to go into the database and change the last order # to a higher # and then the next order will be one higher, and the next one higher, etc.
Here is a post about how some have done it: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=6880&p=32831&hilit=invoice#p32831

EDIT!!! DO NOT DO THIS ON the last REAL order. Do this only on a test order! i.e. create a test order, then do the update right after.

Well that's the Hacky McHackface way to do it.

For the proper way, try this:
