Hi,
Google says there are two different code snippets that need to be installed for Google Tag Manager, one in the HEAD section of the site, one in the BODY section:
https://developers.google.com/tag-manager/quickstart

I am trying to use the included Google Analytics extension (that comes with OpenCart 2.1.0.2

However, you can only add code to the HEAD section from there.

Any idea how to install Google Tag Manager on OpenCart?

Thanks

You could use an extension like this if you don't want to alter the Opencart code yourself.
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... load_id=47

Otherwise, you'd need to edit the header.tpl or header.twig file of your theme to add the suggest code.

Hello,
You can try this.
1.Create an account, or use an existing account, at tagmanager.google.com. (A new container is created by default, and you can create additional containers within each account.)
2.Install the container in your website or mobile app.
3.Add and publish your tags.

The Google Tag Manager uses a data layer for tracking various standard ecommerce activities, therefore requires modifications of various OpenCart files to get it to work. We have an GTM OpenCart extension for this which gives support for the enhanced ecommerce tracking events.
