This seems like a pretty scummy thing for Square to do:

They say it's only for "high risk" businesses, but I don't think anyone really believes that. Hopefully it hasn't affected any OpenCart users.
Regardless, it's deprecated from the OC core.
The most generated errors being found on Opencart forum originates from contributed programming. The increased post counters are caused by redundancies of the same solutions that were already provided prior.
