What does it mean when a theme is "high resolution"?

I'm looking for a new theme and I see some themes listed as high resolution: No and some listed as high resolution: Yes. Is this the themes ability to display high resolution images? Or something else?

I think it refers to the support for higher physical pixel resolution of screens, such as Apple's Retina display, see e.g.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retina_display
IMHO there are more important features to look out for in a web theme. Most web themes on the Envato Market are not worth their money. See also

Yep that's what I thought, might be worth checking with the theme developer though.

Thanks for the details guys. Very interesting read about poorly written themes. Now I have some new questions for the author of the theme I'm looking at.
