OC 3.0.3.2 and extension "MASS products update: Options".

It's a pizza place with 70-80 different pizzas, each one with about 50 options (same options for all pizzas).

As OC doesn't have a way to set the prices for options directly in the page where you list them, you have to open each product page, add each option individually and set the price. (Oh, and you can't group the options and import a complete group to products).

I thought that the easiest way to add identical options with identical prices to all pizzas would be if I added the options and prices to one pizza and then copied this to all other pizzas in the database. But I can't find a way to do that.

The second way would be to use the extension "MASS products update: Options" which in fact seemes to be a great tool. Problem is that the extension interface is very hard to understand. (I have asked the developers for help, but still not getting any reply)

Problem is also that various pizzas have been attached with different options with prices over the years.

So, what is the easiest way to add exactly the same options to all pizzas, with exactly the same price and simoultaneously delete whatever old and obsolete options and prices that some pizzas have?

(I'm not English spoken, so please bear with my language).

Cheers,
Danny

While there might be extensions available on the Marketplace for those requests, also ensure to have a reasonable web server that allows mass change - especially when it comes to options and product options.

Straightlight:

While I'm of course happy and glad that you replied, I have no idea what you mean.
The server itself has nothing to do with this and unless I'm an idiot and can't understand what you're trying to say, I can't see the point in your reply at all. But if I'm stupid, please enlighten me.

Cheers,
Danny

If you have no idea on what I mean, then how can you conclude that the domain / server settings have nothing to do with this? ! You are also being asked to post more discretely at this point since the reply above is not quite welcoming as a new topic.

@straightlight is correct. The server configuration has a lot to do with it when running bulk operations. If you have insufficient resources you may end up with PHP timing out and lost data. So ensure you have proper resources and configuration in place before running a mass update via PHP.

If nothing exists for this in the marketplace post a request in the commercial section. A simple php script could be written to duplicate options to each product if they are all the same.

OMG.
You posted a reply that I didn't understand anything of.
Then, when I replied and said so and asked for clarifications, you (as an administrator) are threatning to block me from the forum.
Are you sober?

I did not mentioned anything of the sort but did provided you the warning regarding the lack of quality of posting based on the way you are addressing other users and proved on the above. Two users confirms on this topic so far that server settings do matter. If you're not willing to accept the reality of the situation, then the rest goes up to you on deciding the next path.

Contact them via here: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... rt/contact

OpenCart will ensure they provide good support or reduce their extension sale income - a good motivator I find that gets good, fast replies!

That is not a pizzeria but a fast-food factory or sweat-shop.

I love to see the list of the 80 "different" pizzas and the list of the 50 option "each"...

My module is able to mass add (or modify) product options, along with other product related tables.
Please take a look: Product Manipulator
The other grat things are:
-You can undo your changes
-You can save your settings for future use
-You can launch mass update settings by schedule

The easiest way would be to find a developer to sort it all out for you, they'll be able to adjust it directly in the database with as script and if you wish, make it so that option prices are set in once place and apply to all pizzas.
