I want to upgrade my current website and replace the theme but I have ran into a problem the images are stored elsewhere on my server and putting a copy where myphpadmin shows they are has no effect so how do i change the server location in phpmyadmin.

Currently the database says they are located at data/ and i want to change all of my pictures location to catalog/journal3/data/ what command would i type in phpmyadmin to do this for all images ?

Thanks in advance

the images locations in the database are relative to the image directory you set in your config files.

Hi there,
If you are using Journal theme & it reads images from following path "catalog/journal3/data/ " then you should move your images from "data/" to "catalog/journal3/data/ " else you need to change it in code everywhere image data is prepared, there is no way you could change anything from phpmyadmin.

Export your database to .sql, use notepad++ to search and replace all the old image urls -> reimport to mysql
