Well, it would take a very l o n g time, and after you would have it made,I would like to know how, I will make sure to make it open source for all the community to use.
you would not even think about, making it available for free, after spending so much
time and brain into such a heavy Task ...

yep, from the look of it (code-wise, not how it looks) my guess is that their engineers themselves no longer have a clue what is in there and why and thus are creating more spagetti upon spagetti until it finally overcooks someday in the not so distant future.

Whatever, nutrition-wise, spaghetti is not be better than noodles, but
they made a lot of bread with that Spaghetti Theme, and that's all, what counts.
And if it would only require a little Brain, others would have achieved
a similar success, I guess.
But if OC would be based on a 'strict' Concept, many problems could be
avoided. It's a plain wonder, that not much more problems exist, considering
the Fact, that everybody is free, to create Extensions, and some of them
just don't get along with such comprehensive Theme Extensions, containing
hundreds of files, trying to do their Job in their own Journal-way.
And it's also a matter of Communication and Marketing. There is very little on
easy to get most important Facts, and for many, OC seems just like another APP,
hopefully installable by a few clicks. But not even the install + upgrade Info meets
the Reality, resulting in frustrated People, then coming here, to ask for help.
And OC should never have implemented OcMod as well, even the Change to TWIG
was a very questionable Decision. It did sure not add to Comfort, it just made most
everthing worse. Or then, at least inform Users 'officially' about the consequences,
if using other kinds of 'similar Solutions' too. Such could have been offered as Mod,
and it would have generated much less problems to 'regular' OC Users.
But who's to blame ? Is it the Advertizing, succesting, that OC is just about as easy to
install and upgrade as an APP ? Or are many Users just Dummies, expecting something
brand New, but coded and working exactly the same as some older Version did ?
Or is it, because most everyone of the so-called Pro's here tells another Story ?
Who knows ...
You could possibly ask the Stones and Cards about it, they might know ...
