I have spoken with a developer from this Forum and also the PHP POS Forum. A developer from the PHPPOS community says he is looking into the possibility of making a phppos oc addon. We will have to wait and see what he comes up with.
Please anyone who is interested please post your ideas and interest here.

We are currently creating a point of sales system for our open cart store. This is made compleately for open cart and means that you will be able to insert and edit products on your online store through this system. We are very close to having a beta ready and will keep people updated if they PM me. This system is not going to be a module but a stand alone application which will run your store online and in store.
Thank you
Daniel

Hello Guys,
We are very busy atm trying to make our ePOS system the best one around.
I have made a video of our first version which I am happy to say is nearly complete. The video does not include all features as we are hoping to include features that are not availble in other epos systems and cant display these until we have realesed the system fully.
The system is going to be Commercial and will also need to be installed with the help of my technical team.
The only requirments are you have an internet connection and also SSH access to the database
The system when running will be kept upto date and we will also consider and features you would like to be added.

If you are intreasted please PM me.

Sounds generally interesting, but:

it should be easy to install by the customer itself, if 3rd party help is needed (required) it seems to be complicated

do not think that a storeowner will give anybody a wildcard access to his database -> a completely show stopper!

is there any news for any POS which can connect with POS
even a simple export import module would suffice for now
Kassanova is very impractical and seems like a losse hobby project instead of a full featerud program
i would not mind to pay for it but want to try it first if possible (some requirements apply)

HI guys, I just joined this community today and only just started using opencart, absolutely delighted with the results so far.
I too am seriously interested in the integration with a pos system, hopefully php pos!
I have tried kassanova and I really don't like the way the system works....

I'm also interested in integration with PHP POS. How feasible would it be to write a connector that keeps OC and PHP POS in sync? Or it might be possible to rewrite PHP POS to use the OC database...

I contacted PHP POS and Kassanova to get a status update on integrating with OpenCart. It sounds like integrating PHP POS is a big job as the database structure is quite different. Kassanova only works for OC version 1.4.x but will be compatible with 1.5.x "in a few weeks".
