Trying to log on to open cart, used all the methods (changed the password, used scripts, ect)
Also stuck at version 1.5 I believe and unable to update.

Old Site Manager seemed to try and uploaded about 15 open carts.

Anyone able to give some support or ideas?

Was that suddenly or has someone changed/modified shop files?
I assume that this will be related to the server and the used software on it (see php).
To get help, I would post a request in the commercial section here: viewforum.php?f=88

I'll post in there as well.

When I get to the log in page I first get an Unsecured page (log in buttons are gone)
once you load unsafe scripts, you get the log in page

once you put the information in and hit log in , it jumps you back to the log in page.

I was able to get in a month ago, and for some reason it stopped working or worked intermittently'
Now it just doesnt work
(only thing we did was add godaddy ssl management)

***we were dealing with a firing of the web manager and she managed to make a back door on the cpanel and we are unaware of what was changed, (slowly teaching ourselves how to fix and handle this),
****We did restore the site from before the hack but we think renominates of changes are still there. we are currently trying to clean up the site (apparently they built site on top of site, so the website files are 9 gigs)
****So any help to get us back on our feet and past this is appreciated

Probably the most confusing description of the year. Screenshots could help.

Means what?
Basically each and every webshop should be secure (ar least have a fully qualified SSL-Cert installed)!

How do you do that?

Here are your Screen Shots

Its taken step by step to get the log in buttons to appear

To unlock scrips there is a shield by the web address asking if i would like to load them.

You're not even trying to add more sense to your description, it's still confusing as fudge.

So, what I never will understand, people are asking for help and do not provide the minimum.
For example a link to the shop says more as you can imagine.
Images with readable infos are the same.

From what I can see (called your super secret catering shop), you should hire a professional - sooner better than later!
To fix the admin issue, simply edit your config files and define the correct URLs.
That should solve the login.

About the other troubles you have (and you have!), the hired pro shall fix that.

p.s.: and REMOVE the update script!

Hey guys,
This is Jen. I'm helping out on fixing the website so any expertise from you guys would be awesome!

Attempting to log into Open cart version 1.5.6.4:
WebHost: GoDaddy
Web based Control Panel: cPanel

Here what we have done so far.
Open Cart Login Page:
When we try to login into our opencart admin in a browser such as firefox.  It initially goes into protected view, where Firefox does not block mixed passive content but simply just shows a warning that the page isn't fully secure and doesn't show the physical login button image.  However, we are able to get the login button to show and function by disabling the protection that is next to the url.

Avenues we tried so far to get into OpenCart:

Assumption: We are correcting the correct duplicate of opencart in phpmyadmin / filemanager in Cpanel since there are duplicates from multiple uploads and not deleting or correctly renaming the old files.  I am pretty confident we are correcting the correct files since I did modify some code that did inherently affect the link to Opencart from the website on the front end.

1) We went back into Cpanel -> phpmyadmin to change passwords of open cart.

2) Went into Cpanel -> Opencart filemanager php file modifying the code itself to get rid of the login page entirely:

Go to file admin/controller/common/login.php
On line 14 remove && $this->validate()
On line 13 add this code     $this->session->['user_id'] = 1;

3) Restoring OpenCart password with authentication file which hypothetically can upload to admin folder and login into admin with any user stored in phpmyadmin.
File: auth1d_DELETE_AFTER_USE.php

We also sometimes get "token session has expired" after we enter login and pw.  A session key/token is an identifier that the server assigns you when you log in so that it can identify you.  If we put in the wrong pw - it will just kick back to the login page with no errors. However, if we put in the right pw we get the "token session has expired" error message.  I've tried clearing the cache but we are unable to get past the login page.  If it is just a token error it might be something in the php.file that is conflicting with the cloud host service, although not sure what to look for.

With the SSL encryption certification addition which is showing a https subdomain. There might be something to look into with htaccess file but unsure what to look for because when I look in the login.php code, it has an extra line of code I am unfamiliar with and doesn't allow for tokens. (Although maybe tokens is unnecessary with SSL cert)

Thanks!

As already written:
To fix the admin issue, simply edit your config files and define the correct URLs.
btw: you should also check the catalog config.php
