Which folders/files need zipped to upload to server?

I've been on a chat for the last 4 hours with my server host trying to get my webpages uploaded but keep having issues.
My first step is to zip up the necessary files so they can be imported to my database on the server. I have put a screenshot of what the folders are on my computer. Can someone please identify which files and folders I need to zip up? I tried zipping everything but keep getting an error indicating that empty folders cannot be zipped up. After uploading it the tech tries to unzip this zip file but he gets an error..

You can zip an empty folder...
