anybody know how to delete 'discount' from appearing?

Which discount are you talking about specifically? If it's one that shows up on the product page for multi-quantity discounts, you can remove those in the 'Discount' tab of the product data. If that's not it, post a screenshot or more detailed description of what you're looking to remove.
