Hi all,
I have seen this erros posted several times, but haven't seen the fix yet, so apologise if I'm repeating something.
My host has just upgraded the PHP Version on the server and suddenly my Open Cart site V 2.0.3.1 is throwing these JSON errors all over the place. For instance when you click on Shopping Cart you get the following:
SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected non-whitespace character after JSON data at line 1 column 9370 of the JSON data
OK
{"country_id":"222","name":"United Kingdom","iso_code_2":"GB","iso_code_3":"GBR","address_format":"","postcode_required":"1","zone":[{"zone_id":"3513","country_id":"222","name":"Aberdeen","code":"ABN","status":"1"},{"zone_id":"3514","country_id":"222","name":"Aberdeenshire","code":"ABNS","status":"1"},
etc etc etc
My question is. Is this a fix for the table/s that store this data, or is this error a red herring and there's a simple fix such as installing a new VQMOD or something?!
I'd really appreciate help with this issue as the host has basically told me to crawl off and fix my code?!?
Can be absolutely anything. You need to look in the code of the file, which returns the data via JSON.

Thanks for the reply.
I've always been of the opinion that if i've not edited a file and it has always worked, then even though the errors appear to be from the execution of that file, the issue must lie elsewhere i.e database permissions / API etc
Is it then the case with OpenCart that if something in the environment changes (such as some server PHP patch) that I need to start editing previously unedited files?
This error appears when you click the Shopping Cart link in the header of the page, but there are these JSON errors all over the place, particularly in the Admin console when attempting to update customer order Status etc.

Like I previously said, it is not possible to tell anything for sure without looking into the issue personally. If you want, I can look into this. Drop me an email or skype, if interested.
