Hi There,
I recently have installed 1.4.9.1
I have installed a PayPal Paymet Pro as well, but seems it has problem.

After I press the submit button, "Please Wait!" text appears. But it does not finish, regardless I put wrong/right Credit card information.
I checked my PayPal account, and the money is actually there!!
But the shopping cart at the webstie still says proccess has not been finished yet!! Shoppers get confused and don't buy, OR might repress the submit button that caused them recharge. This is absolute poison for reputation to dauble charge shoppers.
Moreover, quanitity of products is working in backend, I mena during "please wait" number of purchased products deducted from inventory.

It works fine for me so 1.4.9.1 does not have iussues with paypal pro, just you.

it could mean its your server noit setup properly.

check your error logs, also this might be because of the template you are using.

I have used the default template since I love it.
I selected Arvixe server, as OC recommended.
But the SSL is in process. Do you think it's because of SSL?
I only installed myHTML modul in firs day, and the only error at my errors window is "
