I have installed v3.0.2 on localhost. I have designed a series of php files that uses data (from a form in view) from a MYSql DB (the same data that OC will use) and returns up to 6 possible results. The user may then select one result and head off to checkout. Basically the form accepts shipping data for a courier company and then , calculates weight and shipping town and returns up to 6 possible shipping options from data received. The "product" works fine as standalone and is made up of 6 files, namely,
a View file - consisting of HTML/CSS/JS/PHP with a form and will also ultimately display the results - I still have to convert to TWIG.
a Model - which interacts with the DB and does the number crunching
a Controller - which GETs form info and converts to usable info - and interacts with the view(at the moment the Controller creates a table of results and displays it - result need to append to the View with checkout button etc.)
3 X Class files made up of Methods which the model uses to interact with the DB etc.
So, now that I have this "calculator" working in a simple MVC (all in one directory) I need to adapt it to the Opencart MVCL structure as a single default product.
There will only ever be the one product in the site, so I am most likely going to completely replace the product.php and not use ?OCMOD. All unnecassary code to be removed to reduce clutter?
I can email the current files so that you can look at them before quoting. I can also make a development testsite url available where the development work can be done, via CPanel, which is already setup with the Database etc. The current MVC files use the same DB that Opencart will use. OC is already setup on this development site.
My previous and very alive site using OC v1.5.4 can be seen at www.ic-express.co.za and is long overdue for an update (our developer has disappeared and hence the development in-house), but uses a very similar concept.
So, for this reason, it is imperative that all code is "commented" on so that I can understand it - going forward.
So, to recap, I need an experienced OC developer to integrate my existing MVC calculator into an Opencart product, that returns results and I am able to select one of the returned options and checkout to complete the transaction.
I don't really want my existing code to be changed much if possible, as I understand it's workings - but I am open to changing if it has to be.
I would need a fixed quote for the work please and what is included in detail.
NB - I am not a developer but have a working knowledge of PHP/HTML/CSS/OOP/MVC

Please ask questions if you need a more detailed explanation. The solution really needs a good understanding of OC framework and route.

Many thanks in advance.
