PayPal - cannot process this transaction

We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via the "Ask Seller a Question" link on the listing page. When you have the correct email address, payment can be made at
http://www.paypal.com.
Ever since upgrading one of my clients Opencart installations from 1.4.7 to 1.4.9.1, they have not been able to receive a payment via PayPal. Customers receive the quoted message. Originally, there was no PDT token added. Thinking that it could be this, I then created a PDT token, added it to the settings in Opencart. Same error.
The email address being used is their valid PayPal email address. I even tried my own PayPal account for testing purposes and the same error.
Am I missing something here???

This is likely due to you using a poorly constructed custom theme that includes its own payment folder so it isn't using the new default payment tpl files. Delete the catalog/view/theme/YOURTHEME/template/payment folder

Hey Q,
That seems to have been the issue. I replaced the payment directory for the custom theme with the one from the default theme that came with the new version of Opencart. Much appreciated!

That is NOT what I said to do. just delete that custom one
PayPal 1.4.9. doesn't record the order

Hi Q:
Did a test order with PayPal standard - the "customer" receives the Paypal payment authorization email, I (the owner) receive the Paypal email but the order is nowhere to be found in the store. Is it due to a custom theme? My site:

no. enable debug amd check the messages in your system error log

HI,
I can't also find the order in the store, but i can find it in the database but you can't see the order in de Back office.
and in the error log is nothing

Ow i think that i know what the problem is:
In the database at order_status_id is 0 if i change it (to 15 for me) than i can see the order in the Back Office
but how do fix this problem ?

Hi Q i already did what you say, i deleted the payment folder from my custom theme, and this is what i see in the system error log:

Debug mode is already enabled and my system log is my other post.
