0.7.9RC2 add to cart not working in IE 6

In Internet Explorer 6.0.29 SP2 when the button 'Add to cart' is clicked the page updates and with the text "Your shopping cart is empty!"
When I try this in Opera it works as it should

check that IE is accepting cookies.

Thank, I adjusted the privacy cookie settings and it now works

Open Cart does nothing when cookies are not enabled
While we know to enable cookies, shoppers may not know this
Would it be better/possible to throw up an error message when shopper adds to cart without cookies enabled

You read my mind. I was going to post a pic of the Cookie Monster but haven't got around to organising and learning how to post pics here.
Back to the topic
Some shoppers are either new, in a hurry or just plain dumb
If they add to cart and nothing happens, they may not be patient enough to work things out and then we lose a sale

No offense, but it would be nice if users stopped using IE6 altogether because it doesn't accept W3 web standards and is full of security risks.
