eWay UK

Can someone give me advice on eWay UK payment solutions.

I'm in the process of setting up an eWay account and I've just been trying to install their Opencart payment method (http://www.eway.co.uk/developer/shoppin ... vider.aspx). The problem is, it doesn't work! (see separate thread -> http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=7214).

I see Qphoria has an eWay plugin, however it looks to me like it's for Australian currency and I'd need an SSL certificate (I was trying to avoid that):

Are there any other alternatives? Has anyone made the "official" eWay plugin work with recent versions of OC?
