Hello,

i would like to ask, where the search mechanism is looking for?

For example i understand that it looks at the product titles.

Is there other fields that is looking for, for example product description, tags, attributes. options?

It's depending on what Extensions you use, to 'enhance' the relatively poor default search functions.

By Default, without any extensions it searches by product title.

When on the search page you can choose a category / subcategory to search within.
Also you can check a box to search within descriptions.

i'm using the Journal2 Theme, and the developes of the theme told me that they use the default Opencart search mechanism, and its better to ask here.

I have checked in Journal a check box that is says to search in description too.

So the defeualt mechanism is searching in "product Title" & "Description?
