OpenCart Community

Can someone explain the differences and show examples. Is there any good documentation on each that is available?

I'm currently using OpenCart 3..0.2.0.

In each of these modules, you can configure them from your admin - > extensions - > extensions - > modules. Detailed explanation can be seen from this site for v3.x releases: https://www.tmdhosting.com/tutorials/op ... ation.html . Then, once you enable and save the module's settings from the demonstrated edit page, you can configure your layouts on the next page to where those installed modules would be loaded from on your store-front end.

This still doesn't elaborate the difference between them.

A slideshow is one image per transition. An example is the banner on the top of the demo home page "Home Page Slideshow". (https://demo.opencart.com/)

A carousel is multiple images per transition. An example would be the banner at the bottom of the home page "Manufacturers". (https://demo.opencart.com/)

A banner is one image only without any transition. An example, the banner on left menu "HP Products" in the Desktops category on the demo website. https://demo.opencart.com/index.php?rou ... ry&path=20

This still doesn't elaborate the difference between them.

If the differences would need to be elaborated, it wouldn't be in the General Support but rather in the General Discussion section of the forum. In this section, it's for support.

On this Front Page, you can see a Banner, a slideshow and an owl-slider function.
And if you want to find out, wich one does what, just check the Browser Source on it.
