Use in physical shop

Hi,

Is it possible to use OpenCart for a physical shop as well as an online store?

The Online store has been online for a while, the physical shop will be opening soon. So in the physical shop, the OpenCart user is the shop assistant, and a typical purchase sequence would be:

- Pick products (preferably by searching on the bar code, read by a scanner connected to the computer).
- Display total to the shop assistant.
- Click to say "purchase complete" - all payment handling is done outside of the OpenCart system.

Obviously the advantage of using OpenCart for this, is that it is already handling all the stock control, etc.

Thanks in advance for any help,

David.

This would need an P.O.S (Point of sale) add-on that connects from your local PC to your database.

I know that osFinancials handles tis for several Carts, yet there is no connection to use it with OpenCart (Yet).

Hello,

We would be interested in this type of platform (particularly with barcode scanner & register drawer integration). Have there been any further developments since this last post?
