Hey guys, i just bought an extension from the marketplace for an old opencart installation which i need to pull some order and customer data from. The site is not live.
It's opencart 1.4.7 and i installed this extension: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=14308

I've tried to message the developer but he's not responding.

I'm encountering the following error after installing the plugin and clicking on the edit link.
"Fatal error: Call to a member function link() on a non-object in /domains/xxx/admin/controller/module/ed_export.php on line 43"

I've attached the file.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Well, the last 'Reaction' of this seller was 3 Years ago, and he later never replied to
any of the questions asked. You should generally not buy such Extensions, if a Seller
does not react on multiple Customer Comments and Questions in Time, just to mention
this.

Otherways, no idea, the Code Line 43 itself seems to look ok.
But in a Version 1.4.9.6, a default controller file content looks like this: and not like this: so, try the default way, and change the line accordingly.
And most OTHER lines would probably have to be rewritten in a similar way, to make the Mod
work with your Version, I fear...

Thanks for the suggestion Ernie, unfortunately replacing that line of code did not solve the problem.

I'll have to ask for a refund.
I'll read the comments before buying anything next time! Unfortunately this was the only extension i could find that supports version 1.4.7. There are many order export plugins available but most only support OC 1.5+.

Well, I guess, it would be time, to move up a little, by example, to the latest and so far unbeaten v.1.5.6.5_rc:

Then, you don't have to get familiar first with the new Admin Layouts, since v.1.5.6.5_rc still uses the
familiar Admin Face, Mod's, and Functions. And if you then use 1.5.6.5, you could always install a free
responsive Layout as well, like this one linked below, adapted by famous Peku too, to then again be
ready to serve your products to the World, according latest Viewer Spec's ?!
Think about it, you won't find much else, so cheap and proven to work, for such a long time already.
Not even to mention the giant variety of free Mods!
