When I started to install Opencart on the remote server,
I put my domain name in a browser, it automatically became like this:
www.domain.com/install/index.php
and this message appeared on the screen:

So?
That is the case. You require to have PHP v5.4 or above installed on your environment or live server in order to use Opencart. If you do not know how to upgrade your PHP version, contact your host support in order to upgrade to the latest version of PHP 7.x.

Is it possible the active public server nowadays to have so old versions?
The contact with the hosting administration is very slow, so:
How can I upgrade the php version on this remote server?

Yes, it is still possible to likely encounter outdated web hosting services that do not take proper responsibility to upgrade their PHP versions. As mentioned above, however, if you do not know how to upgrade to the latest version of PHP, contact your host support. They should definitely handle that one for you.

Wow, probably I should install it in my main directory on the host.
Now, I see there is a folder PHP with four sub-folders (data, docs, ext, tests) all of them empty.
?

PHP libraries are handled by the server-end ... not by the client-server end. It needs to be either installed from a host console or from SSH by using command lines for users who have VPS or dedicated servers. Otherwise, if shared servers, web hosts do not need to take responsibility for those upgrades generally.

Also in the cPanel in the PHP section in the table I see inscription "No Directives Found".
Probably there is no PHP at all.
There is "PHP PEAR Packages" section with options and fields to search or to install:
“PHP Extensions and Applications Package” Installer
PEAR packages are collections of functions that allow you to perform tasks in PHP. You will need to install a PEAR package before you can use it inside a PHP program. Note: Packages are installed directly from the PHP Extensions and Applications repository (PEAR).
...............................
Can you help me to install what I need.
