Are users allowed to remove the copyright and powered by notices within the software?

One of the major reasons i'd want to remove the 'powered by' notices in the Title tag is for search engine optimisation but also for a more professional appearance.

Is'nt that for the copyright in the footer? Not for the 'Powered by Opencart' in the title tag of the homepage?

hey.. i think to be fair to opencart.. do not remove man.. it takes admins here very hard time to actually code it out.

if you wanna remove, then add a page to thank daniel and his team..

He need to advertise his cart out so people knows and more people will donate him money. He also need to have money to eat right?  >:(

Thats the thing with opensource though, you'll find 1000's of sites using opensource software without giving credit back.

Sorry but both the Title Tag and an external sitewide link are not healthly for search engine optimisation, they are going, as a matter of fact, if i use and am happy with opencart, i plan on running a series of articles about using and modifiying it on one of my blogs and of course Opencart will be credited and more importantly promoted within those.

I'm quite sure Daniel can afford to eat without me linking to him if i do choose to use his software!

I have no problem with any one removing the powered by or copyright logos.

Actually, i'll think you find that the search engines do actually indexed sites and pages that are commented out using this method. Try it for yourself....
