Hello
I installed the Show Login and Register Links module https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... =55&page=4 and it works great.
Once I log into the front the login link becomes the "My Account" dropdown menu.

The is a dropdown menu already in open cart.
I want to remove the one that comes with opencart but I can not find where to remove it.

I tried catalog/view/theme/default/template/common/header.TWIG
I also tried catalog/view/theme/mytheme/template/common/header.TWIG

Can anyone help with this?

That extension you are using should remove the default "my account " section and adds the new one further along the top.
Have you cleared all your caches........
