OpenCart installed... main page works... but nothing after that

I am using Windows XP and installed OpenCart. It went pretty smoothly. I got to main page which displayed perfectly. However, anything I click on the main page gives me an error....

Not Found

The requested URL /opencart/account_create was not found on this server.

What have I done wrong?

are you using apache or IIS?
