opencart 3 or 2

In the process of building two OC2 sites, but have another and wonder about using OC3. I understand that many of the extensions are not up to OC3, but what are the advantages to OC3 over OC2? Will OC ever allow seemless upgrades?

Definitely open cart 2, as v3 is very slow especially admin control panel.

No, no, no, don't even think about OC 3. For now it's just an atrocity, avoid it for at least a year. Hopefully it'll become usable to the next summer.
