Had same Admin Login problem and solved it by:
Changed the login name from an email address to a simple name with no special characters, and did the same with the password, and it worked!
HISTORY: Using Softaculous I unistalled OpenCart and reinstalled it again but changed the admin login to a simple name with no special characters, and the same with the password.
Worked like a charm with no error and no login problems!

Well, an OC Admin Section does not use eMail Addresses to log in, but the Admin
Name, declared during the installation Process, and the matching Password.
And this should be one word only, by Nature of Things!

I have to thank you for this post. I spent all night working on a new website for my client. I was so tired yesterday I logged out but then wanted to do one more thing. I logged back in but couldn't get in. I just installed a new mod for a newsletter and thought some how my database got corrupted. I kept changing the password and wouldn't work. I searched opencart and found this thread. I felt so dumb but relieved to go to sleep. I was using my email to login not a username.
It didn't worked for me. I still get the same error.boiler wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 6:55 pmnvm found the solution from this post viewtopic.php?p=680870#p680870

I installed Opencart v3.0.3.2 and I got the same problem and resolved after a lot of time on Google search
When I saw @IP_CAM reply I changed my password to a simple word and it worked, but I cannot use a simple password, so I tried to make it more complex by adding on symbol each time.
Finally I discovered that using > or < symbols caused the error, now my password contains small, upper, digits and symbols $#@ and worked fine

You need to remove (delete) your installation directory if you've not done this yet (/install). This increases your site security alot too!bartokage wrote: ↑Fri Sep 21, 2018 1:43 amHi

hi,
I am facing an issue with my opencart, after migration of my website my website admin login is not working.
everything is moved successfully, but what i try to login to my admin its not getting login nor showing any error.
I tried fixing by seeing opencart forum, but even after trying that it is not working so I have reverted back to the same.
can any one please help in fixing this issue?
