I would like to create multiple stores using a single OpenCart installation (Version 3.0.2.0). I understand this can be done using subdomains. However, for SEO purposes I would like each store to have its own top level domain. For example, the domain xyz.com is my existing store. I want to add a store with domain xyz.fr and have this url show not only for the home page but also for each category and product page. Can this be done and how do I go about doing it?

As long as it all 'happen' on the same Server, the URL itselfs make no Difference,
it will 'internally' be handled like using a Subdomain, regardless of the Site URL used,
if 'routing' is defined accordingly, as fas as I understand this.

You can use sub domains or separate top level domains. All 21 of my stores run using multistores with separate domains.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

If I am just changing hosts and the domain will remain the same and just point to a new IP address, do I still need to create a sitewide 301 redirect? Do I create the redirect on my old host or do I need to change the htaccess file on my new host?
