Just started to use opencart therefore not really all that familiar with it, however I have run into a problem and I hope someone will be able to help me...

On my shop I have 2 payment options.. Cash on Delivery & Paypal...

When an order is confirmed and paid for using paypal the invoice on paypal displays as the name of the shop instead of the item name. Payment is received but it does not appear on the dashboard under latest 10 purchases nor does it appear on the sales --> orders tab.. however the email to confirm that a payment has been received has an invoice number but the invoice does not exist under the sales --> orders tab either...

Please help

Hi Qphoria, Thanks for a reply. Installed your update. It sorted out my problem of having the shop name in paypal when trying to pay for the item and replaced it with the item and the order option.

However, When the payment is complete the order still doesn't appear on my Dashboard --> 10 latest offers or sales --> orders // they just remain blank.. payment gets transferred successfully though, any ideas?

Forgot to add...

The orders that was paid for doesn't appear in the order history of the customer account either... :s

Found a topic about "missing orders" and when i click on sales --> orders and filter as "missing orders" they all appear..

I then obviously changed the order status and it appeared under latest 10 orders and sales --> orders

What are the causes of all my orders using paypal going to "missing orders" instead of "processing" or "pending"?? more to the point how can I fix this problem as I really don't want to try another cart as opencart seems to be great if I get this working.

Sorted out this problem...

After reading topics of people with the same problem (even on the old version of OC) I guessed it was that the callback was getting blocked.. I host with hostgator therefore assummed that they wouldn't block paypal callback..

My paypal account was a "personal account" and I couldn't go into Profile --> website payment preferences to allow it to automatically come back to my website...

I then went back into my partners paypal account went to profiles --> website payment preferences and set it to automatically return customers to my shop. I then went into Opencart admin panel changed the paypal address (to my partners) and the PDT key which was given to me in paypal... I proceeded to try buying an item and all went well so hopefully my problem has been sorted...

In short - Personal accounts don't work.. and remember to go to paypal Profile --> website payment preferences & edit the settings to automatically come back to your website...
