I have created a recurring profile and have added to a product.

I have both Worldpay and also PayPal setup as payment gateways.

How does the charging the customer bit work?

Will WordPay and Paypal support this?

Is a recurring profile supposed to be created within PayPal or does OpenCart charge the gateway each time instead?

Is there nobody that can shed any light on how a recurring payment works?

OpenCart helps set up the profile at the gateway side (paypal eg) but the gateway recharges the customer and sends the payment info back to the store where it's saved in the recurring transactions overview.
I don't know about worldpay but paypal works fine (paypal express! Pro and Standard are capable of subscriptions but not implemented in standard oc)

Also keep in mind that the product price has nothing to do with the profile. Profile is just attached to a product.
They are separately charged even, product instantly, profile within 24 hours.
Product price cannot be zero without an extension.
