I went through the procedure to purchase an extension:

Completed the purchase with PayPal, PayPal says the payment has been made.

I get no email from PayPal, no record of the payment in my PayPal account and nothing, obviously, in my purchases/downloads on Opencart website.

I don't know if this is a PayPal problem or a problem with the Opencart Marketplace PayPal integration. As well as posting here I will also try to contact PayPal and the author of the extension about the problem.

Can anyone here suggest what the problem might be?

only the OC Office can be of help, all such transactions are made trough OC,
and a seller get's it's 'share' later on, paid out by OC. But I recall, that they had
some problems with PayPal before...

All OK now.

For reference, it took a while after completing the transaction on PayPal before it appeared anywhere. about half an hour to an hour later I got 3 order confirmations!!! All 3 attempts I made had gone through.

An email to OC store (the email address from the PayPal transaction) had them refund 2 of the orders.
