I am trying to set up a Subscription Product and am getting really confused by the documentation.

Firstly, can I use WorldPay (FuturePay) as the payment gateway for this rather than PayPal?

Secondly, it appears that I not only need to create the product, but also a Profile and Customer Group and then need to manually add each customer to this group in order to receive recurring payments.

This all seems very labour intensive.

Is there no way that a customer can purchase a product which has a recurring payment associated to it without me needing to add them manually to a Customer Group? (and also remove them manually when they no longer want the subscription)

It sure is, just like in real life, but since it's about real money too, that's just
the way, it works, like it or not...

But to add such a 'function' to each (selected) Product, would require a new
'Function' to OC, no longer 'hooked' to a 'pre-selected' Value like a User-Group,
but on Products, or at least (selected) Product-Groups, and this is a 'fundamental'
Change of doing Things, and would require quite a comprehensive Modification,
including the DB as well, to keep and 'handle' such data.

Just to give you some Idea. But if you have the Bucks, for a few days of Pro-work,
someone would probably be able to. Someone with a known Identity, and known
Facts, like a not anonymously registered Site. Just to have it mentioned as well,
after all, and just about like Bitcoin, it's a dangerous and risky World, we're in...
