i've had many customers submit their opencart doesn't always clear after successfully creating an order, closing session, opening a new session. have not been able to associate this behavior with a specific browser. please advise

I think the problem is pretty clear.

It's something we've fixed before - you just need to add some code on the order success page that clears the cart.

thank you all for your timely replies.

"doesn't always clear" means that periodically, for no rhyme or reason that i can determine, a customer will create an order and the next time they log on to place an order, the same items they ordered in the previous session are still in the cart and end up on this subsequent order. this happens to random customers and to those customers who experience this, they may only experience it once so there's no regularity with whom experience this...
