How to add product options to category page

Hi,
Please someone help me add product option prices to category page. Am using default template version 2.1.0.2. I want the product option prices to appear as a drop down select bar where the customer can select an option, add it to cart with his or her preferred quantity without necessarily going into the product page

something like this, I assume. But I don't think, that something also exists for free,
it's too much brain & work involved, to make it work!
