Hello guys,

I have a problem, that turned out to be a big one. I just tested shopping checkput process and found out that notifications are not working when someone place an order. It just don't come to my mail address. I tryed everything that I could find on google about this problem, and nothing worked. I am using 2.2.0.0 version.

Can somebody please help me..??? Also, same thing happens with my contact form. I send some test text and when I click on submit nothing happens.

Are you using MAIL or SMTP settings? If one doesn't work, try the other

I was using mail option instead of SMTP. I went to in admin panel>>system>>settings edited my theme opened mail tab and I called my hosting provider and they gave me SMTP parametars so I can set my mail notifications, and now everything works perfect.

Just want to get the solution out there for everybody who has problems with OpenCart not sending emails. since you dont actually give the answer ;) .

I Confirm that it works for me too with OpenCart 2.3.0.2 (i´m on Inmotion Hosting server).

I put the ssl:// before my hostname:
SMTP Hostname: ssl://securexxx.inmotionhosting.com

It´s very strange this information is not in the Documentaion.
No emails worked before, now everything works.

Full settings (choose your own settings for port etc:
Mail Protocol SMTP
Mail Parameters -fadmin@yourdomain.com
SMTP Hostname ssl://securexxx.inmotionhosting.com (your own smtp host)
SMTP Username yourvalue@yourdomain.com
SMTP Password the correct one
SMTP Port 465
SMTP Timeout 15
