Hi everyone,
I am Brand new to Open Cart.
I just uploaded my site and and I got to see the demo store...but when I click on any of the eternal links it gives me a 400 error... the files are not there.

Did I miss a step? or upload more files?

You can check it out here:  http://store.sweetandsaucyshop.com/

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Tim

I think you are the 50th person this week to have this problem... and that's just this week. I think it is safe to say that 0.7.9 and 0.8 better have URL Alias disabled by default.

This is how to fix your problem:

and if it still don't work, this is how to get around your problem by disabling URL Aliasing:

This really needs to be stickied

You beat me to it Q - just about to compose a similar reply.  Agree with the stickiness suggestion!

Welcome to OpenCart, Tim  ;D  Always a good idea to run some searches before posting.  You're sure to come across some other issues but most common ones are well-covered in this active and supportive community.

I Know I am going to sound like a complete moron... but none of the information made since to me. I guess I need even more hand holding.
Baby steps.

Alright so the code from the link is copied and replaces the other code...what is the file name I am looking for?

Thanks and sorry,
Tim

If you want to try to fix it:
the .htaccess file is in the root of your opencart folder. In your case, "store".

If you just want to disable URL Alias:
The other link tells you the filename and the steps needed.
