OpenCart Search Modification

Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to modify the search capabilities of OpenCart (using v 1.4.8b) to include categories and information pages. I have found other posts detailing how to include product models and descriptions, which I plan to implement. I have a feeling, however, that including information pages and categories is a bit more complicated than that.
If this is a major undertaking, does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative search script that does not display ads (I believe Goolge does, though could be wrong) and keeps results "in-site."
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Has anyone attempted modifying the search capability of OpenCart in this way?

It gets a bit complicated really when you use it for categories and products, since they're in two different tables, and you have to combine the two. Which do you put first, how do you order them etc. I doubt this has been done before for OC (especially 1.4.8b)

Thanks for the reply Jay.
I had a feeling that this would be a rather complicated modification--at least much too complicated for the quote I gave. I believe the client will just have to be satisfied with a product search. It's not a very large site to begin with, and everything is easily navigated, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks again,
Jon

I have been trying to get zoom search engine implemented into a store but I am no coder so I am struggling.
If you are any good at php, I would suggest having a look.
I used to run it on a static site and it was a great search engine with heaps of customisable options like synonyms and ranking pages.
