Subcategory Extension not working (Version 2.1.0.2)

Hi all:
I just installed this extension:
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... cense=free
I installed VQMOD in root folder and put the XML file in the upload folder. The extension fails to have any effect (and for all I know opencart could possibly not even see it).
Any solutions?
Running Version 2.1.0.2 of opencart, VQMOD latest version.

Hi,
You need an updated version( opencart 2.1 compatible ) of that extension.

Ok, thanks. Is there any other extensions I could use that do the same thing? AFAIK there is no 2.1 version for that extension.

As others have mentioned above.....have you asked the author of that extension for an upgraded version ?

Subcategory Extension not working (Version 2.1.0.2)
This is very irritated. I thought that I was doing something wrong for some reasons. I have 2.1.0.2 version, and dowloaded the square extension in order to take payment. Every time I upload the extension, it changes the theme of my web. So I have to remove the extension. If there is a updated version available why can't opencart notifies? So what is the updated version for 2.1.0.2?

Have you looked in the marketplace ?
