This site is not on OpenCart, but on some other engine, maybe it's even hand made. Yet it can be replicated on OpenCart, not that hard to do with a little digging. And yes, of course, you will need a suitable template and a bunch of different extensions.

You could easily achieve that with OC and the Journal 2 extension
