Hello,

I have some problem setting up my PayPal payments with opencart. I am new to opencart so I think I have done something wrong. First of all, my website only contains downloadable goods.

When someone orders a product and they pay with PayPal they return to my website and the order wont show up on their account.
When I log in as admin and I dont see any orders. I only see that the order was made in my Recent Activity Tab on the dashboard.

When I click on that order I see that the Order status is Canceled and I need to set it to complete or else the customer doesnt get a email that the order has been completed.

I have set up my PayPal to these settings. Have I done something wrong? I want that the customers automaticly get the status complete and that they immediatly download there product(s).

When you place the order and pay via paypal, is the order listed in the Sales - Order list ?

Or do you have to choose the 'Missing Orders' status in the filter section to be able to see that order in the list ?

If the latter, then the order isn't set to the status of 'Canceled', it does not have a status at all.

It just so happens that 'Canceled' is the first status in the dropdown list that you can choose from when updating the status (Adding Order History).

Thankyou for the quick reply.

The order doesnt show up in the sales - order list. So if I understand it, it means that it hasnt has a status yet. That explains why the customer doesnt receive a email, only when I change the status of the order.

You know how I can solve this problem? Or is it maybe that I have the website in maintenance mode?
