Export/Import Tool NOT showing up in System > Tools

Export Import Tool version: opencart-1-5-1-to-1-5-6-x-export-import-multilingual-3-8.zip (one that's compatible with latest version of Opencart)

Opencart Version: 2.3.0.2

So after setting up OC, I was trying to install this 'Export/Import' tool. But as I was getting 'Invalid file type' error via Extension Installer option, I uploaded the extension via FTP. I've done it following a 3rd party blog.

After installing the extension only, I found that 'VCmod' should be installed first and so installed that as well. Now again re-installed the 'Export/Import' tool.

I've checked the Tool/Export under the User Group of Administrator.

But unfortunately, I'm unable to see it in the 'Tools' section. Tried my best. Could someone please guide me?

Unfortunately, the OpenCart market place extensions download is buggy, it currently ignores the download file name and changes it to something like <random>.zip. Hence, before installing it, rename the downloaded file so it ends with '.ocmod.zip'!

This still give: Invalid file type!

You really need to sort out your OpenCart extension installer, otherwise you won't be able to install any '.ocmod.zip' based extensions! In most cases it's because of a wrongly configured FTP settings for OpenCart in System > Settings > edit Store > FTP.

Another option would be to try the extension installer patch from iSenseLabs.
