I have just installed a Paypal standard payment module on a customer's site.

Question for Qphoria (who is our Paypal expert :) ): Does it need the IPN configured on the Paypal account, or is this only needed for Paypal Payment Pro?

I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be needed for either. That should be handled through the API If I'm not mistaken.

Hmm, I was just wondering, because when using the standard Paypal module it leads to the Paypal site for the final entry of the card details and payment. And somehow Opencart needs to know whether the payment was successful or not. You are right, this shouldn't be an issue with Paypal Website Payment Pro as that one uses the API.

All correct. The paypal module passes in the callback url so you can either leave the ipn url disabled or enable it with any site you want.

Another Question for Qphoria. My client has PayFlow Pro, Can I use PayPal Website Payments Pro (UK) even though I'm located in the US. I keep getting an error: Error: Payment method required! and not sure why i'm getting this.

Thank you
