Does anyone know of any extensions that will add an availability selection to options?

Example:
I have a product which comes in three sizes, two of those sizes are in stock but one of them is a special order item which takes 7-10 days to arrive from our supplier.

When the first two options are selected the customer sees "Availability: In Stock"

When the third option is selected the customer will see "Availability: 7-10 Days" but can still order the product.

We haven't seen any such module yet. But if you are interested in custom module development, we can implement the same for you.

It's possible out of the box but for it to work I would have to set up the checkout to accept orders for products that are out of stock. With that being the only trade off I don't think paying for a custom module will be financially viable unfortunately.
