Hi,
I have OpenCart 2.3.0.2 with no extensions installed; when I add four related products to a product page and save, it keeps changing itself and becomes more or less related products. No matter how many times I edit and make it back to 4 related products, it keeps changing and adds/removes unwanted products randomly.

Does anyone know what's the problem? All I want is only 4 related products.

Plus one for that on 2.2.0 as well (and 1.5.6.4 for that matter)

It doesn't add related products by itself. Related products are mutually related in OpenCart. For example, if you add Product B as related to Product A and the add Product B as related to Product C, Product B itself will have TWO related products: A and C. No matter, whether you added related products to Product B directly or not.

Thanks for that, makes sense although, despite the logic of doing it that way, it can get out of hand very quickly.

Any suggestions as to how to stop this happening?

Well, rewrite the logic, of course. This will require some coding, though.
