MODIFICATION TO OPEN CART REQUIRED

hELLO
I NEED TWO BASIC CHANGES TO OPEN CART
1.users can add to cart from products in a list view without leaving product area-so basically multiple products can be added to cart without having to go to shopping cart area
2.group discount must be a fixed price rather than a percentage
will the first feature create a situation where future upgrades to open cart on my site will be a problem?
