How to show selected category on side menu

Hi,
I want to show the content of selected category on left side of the product page. How to do this. Please, advice.
By default, it shows all the categories on the left side.

I think my question is little bit incorrect. let me correct it. Please see attached, 1.jpg, which is the default setting of openCart.
I want to show only 1 category on all page. By Symptoms and its sub-categories. No other categories or sub-categories.
Hope this is clear now.
